Digging Deep In Wellington

Specialist Civil Engineers Brian Perry are busy constructing a sewage pump station deep under the Wellington suburb of Berhampore. When it came to excavating the last few metres they called upon Pronto Hire's Micro Excavators to finish the job.

Perry's team lowered the Micro into the hole where it loaded skips with earth. High above a crane then lifted the spoil to the surface where it was removed by truck.

Without the Micro the job would have had to be completed by hand, adding valuable time to the already tight timeframe.

Operators enjoyed the ease of use, and comfort of the tiny machine - despite the confines of the site. Working in shifts the excavator was able to complete the job fast, enabling finishing work to begin.

Now complete, Berhampore residents can look forward to their street returning to normal, and for Perry's it's another job well done!
